Hockey is a fast-paced and physically demanding team sport that holds a special place in Canadian culture. Originating in the 19th century, modern ice hockey evolved from stick-and-ball games played on frozen ponds and has become one of the most iconic winter sports worldwide. Played on ice with skates, sticks, and a puck, the game requires speed, coordination, and teamwork. Hockey continues to be a favourite among athletes who enjoy high-energy competition, camaraderie, and the thrill of the game.
